QUESTION 2

I think some people only care about their selves, but other people bare about people just as much as they care about there selves. People that care about other people and treat them nice have a lot more freinds, than people that don't care about people and only care about their selves. I think people choose to be mean because they think they will get more attention. But why would you want to be mean just to get attention.

Ransford was a good person, but when he started to care about animals more than he turned into a total different person. Zaroff doesn't care about anyone but his self. " Anyone that comes on my island I will kill, I don't care weather they die or not.

Question 2 Response

Most people naturally only care about themselves in the story. I think that way because Rainsford in the beginning only cared about hunting. He didn't care about the animals feelings. General Zaroff was worse than him, not only did he not care about animals but he believed that the weak should die while the strong live.

From my personal experience, some people around me naturally only care about themselves from my point of view, but not everybody. It all depends on how the person was taught by his/her parents. I think that people can change that part and that's usually the parents' work to do that. If the world learned from that, it would be a better place for everyone.

(My computer didnt work until now)

QUESTION NUMBER TWO RESPONSE

I think that in the world there is a portion of people who are good, and a portion of people who only think about themselves. I really don't think there is more of one than the other nowadays. Like in "Most Dangerous Game" Rainsford is good and General Zaroff is bad. In every story there is good and bad just like the world, for every good person there's a bad person. In the "Cask of Amontillado Fortunato was good, and even though in the story it says he insulted Montresor he might have not but to Montresor it might have been an insult. Montresor was the bad guy, he killed his friend even though he probably didn't get the facts straight but got overly jealous and it over came him.

Personal examples of good and evil are school, not everyone in school is nice. There is always going to be somebody in school that hates you. Let's say your a skater person, well a prep probably wouldn't like you. People in school will always get jealous, like if your with someone, someone else is probably jealous of you. I personally don't get jealous and i don't really kill people like in the stories, so i guess i consider myself a good person. I don't have any parts of my life where there are good people or bad but school. Usually my life is bad or my life is good.
~promt~In my life i think most people think most people care about there selves more than others. But certain people try to care about other people, or there feelings somtimes not most of the time. And some people just dont care about anything. But most pepole care and dont care equally. Thats what i think.<<

Answer to question no.2

I believe most people prefer to be good in real life. It is true that most people are selfish and only care about themselves, but in real life, a lot of those people do not know it at all. For a descent example think of Rainsford, he did'nt come to the conclusion that living things always aware that they are being hunted have feelings to. It actually did'nt come until at the end of the story where he said "now i know how the animals felt" (or something like that.) Until that time, he didn't realize the pressure that was driven again'st him while being hunted. From "the cask of Amontillado" Montesor as he had said in the very beginning of the story "The thousand injuries o Fortunado I had borne as best I could.) Until he was insulted and that had driven him off. During the time he was insulted, he was so blind with vengeance that he forgot his descency. This anger turned against Fortunado who recieved a painful death. Montresor did'nt know what he did was wrong, he could'nt take seeing Fortunado anymore with everything he had done, so he had his revenge.

From my own life, I have had so many past experiances with this kind of attitude that I don't even know where to begin. Once on a hot summer day, my friend had to go somewhere so I had to wait for him right outside his house...and I did. Then 5 hours later he came back saying "sorry I forget you were here." I took that very offensively. Then 2 seconds later he came out with a drink, when i asked "can I get one)? he replied (Sorry this is the last one). I had about all the crap I could take for one day so I left...funny thing though, that was one of the last times I had seen him.

MDG/COA

Do most people naturally want to be good? Or do most people only care about themselves?

Most people naturally want to be good... but on the other hand, a lot of people only care about themselves. Such as Rainsford, for example, he was only caring for himself when he hunted animals untill he knew what it was like to be hunted. Another example would be Montresor, he thought being good was getting revenge and killing Fortunato but instead he was really only caring for himself and not thinking of how Fortunato must feel about all this.
An example from my life would be that I was being selfish and was thinking so much about what I wanted for xmas that I forgot about getting other people gifts and had to do late night shopping two days before... but once i made that misteak I was sure not to make it again and not only did i remember the girfts from then on, I stopped being selfish and started thinking about others.

Tuesday, September 18, 2007

Most people natrually care about themselves because Rainsford didn't think about animals until he found out how it felt to be the hunted. Zaroff thought about himself because he was killing humans for his own pleasure.
I'm not going to lie i do think of myself before I think of others now because if you don't look out for yourself who is I had to find that out the hard way.

Question 2

Most people naturally want to be good. But some people think that they're doing good. But really they're doing bad. Like Rainsford he thought that he was doing the world a favor by killing animals like they have no feelings. But he experience what its like to be the animal being hunted. Because of that Rainsford is a even bettter good character because he had changed he under stands that animals have just as much feeling of being hunted.
There are more people that think they're doing good like Montresor from the cask of amontillado. Montresor thought he was doing good by getting revenge. because he tjought he herd Fortunato insult him. So! he decides to take him down to his palazzo tell all of his attendants to go home and don't come back until tommorrow. Then chains Fortunato in a far room in the cave then killed him. He was thinking he was doing good by killing him but he really didn't do good.

Question 2: Thoughts on Humanity

Question 2: Thoughts on Humanity By Peter Nguyen 5th period

There are two desicions that people make, naturally be good or care about themself. The answer is that people want to be good. In the story " The Most Dangerous Game", General Zarroff greets his people friendly. I think General Zarroff can be good at times during the story and also be evil. Rainsford, No doubt is a very selfish person that cares for himself since he
hunts animals and he never knew animals had feelings too.

In my personal life, I experience people choosing two choices, being good or only caring for yourself. I have naturally become selfish and cared for my ownself with out even noticing. People come up to me and tell " I haven't seen you talk and I heard you were gone for a while". I totally agree with it. After a good lesson from other people talking about how selfish I was, I would have chosen to be good and cared for others.

The Most Dangerous Game & Cask of Amontillado

Do most people naturally want to be good? Or do most people only care about themselves?

I think most people care about themselves because in The Most Dangerous Game, Rainsford at first thought about hunting as being fun and the animals getting shot and them having no feelings. But then it all turned around when General Zaroff hunted Rainsford and he knew how the anmals felt. Then in The Cask of Amontillado when Montresor was killing Fortunato he was thinking about all he wanting was revenge and he got it but didnt want to kill him. Because when this all started they were good friends and didnt think about his friend and what he was going to do.
Personal examples from my life are like when i was little i would have friends come over, and i only cared about myself and one day my friends came over and we were all having a goo time and playing games and i was the only one playing while my friends watched. Oh and did they get mad. So whenever they got to play i knew how it felt i didnt touch that controller for a long time. Then at times i wanted to be good and help out with stuff but when my mom asks for stuff to be done and i dont do it she gets mad and doesnt let me do anything or she doesnt do stuff for me.

Quetion 1 Response

The most challenging part of writing fo me is, gathering all my information when the teacher gives us the prompt and brainstorming. The writing prompt because sometimes the question i dont even no what to write about if it happened to me or not. But the brainstorming part for me is tuff cause most of the time i will be working over the time you are supposed to on it. Then when it comes time to the writing part i am always not written enough when times up. Usually i get a b's or c's on my writing cause of the amount. They could of been good to, just not enough writing. I can be helped on this by getting more time and get a list of things to help me on writing.

The Most Challenging writing process for me is, planning and clustering because,I just can't plan for nothing bacecause my mind be thinking to hard but when i don't think i just write better because, less thinking and more writting.

QUESTION NUMBER 1 ANSWER

I love writing, its my favorite subject of all time. I write one hour a day everyday. Ive never had any problems with writing and ive always been into it even since i was ayoung. I love the brainstorming, thewriting process and putting words on paper. I think im an excellent writer.

Question #1 Response

The most challenging process writing that I think is hard is drafting. The reason why because when I had to do a writing assignment I use to just put words together that didn't even make sense. The other reason why drafting is hard to me because I just kept writing when I knew I was messing up on a writing assignment and I would just keep on going. Last but not least, I think I have hard time with it because I'm just bad in writing anyways.

What I can do to improve my writing skills is to stay in school and try to get tudoring for Language Arts. I think I can also improve my writing skills by studing more. Last, I think I just have to listen to the teacher when she is teaching.

Kendra Freeman

The most challenging part of writing for me is trying to put the planning together and make it into an paper thats good writitng. Its hard for me because my mind ALWAYS goes blank and I dont know what to do. But sometimes it is the total opposite, because whenever the topic I get is really easy or I really like I work MUCH better and its not as much stress on me either. So whenever I get an topic I try to be as creative as I can but sometimes its just not possible because there isnt ANYTHING to be creative with. But dont get me wrong cause I really like writing but sometimes, its not that easy at all.

QUESTION NUMBER ONE RESPONSE

Response One: The hardest part of the writing process is pre-writing. It is very difficult to put the words you premade into the actually paragraph. I struggle alot at pre arranging the sentences and words so that it will fit into the paragraph because it requires alot of thinking and brainstorming.I believe that everyone has to sometime have difficulltys with thinking and brainstorming. It requires them to take their time to make the paragraph perfect like I do.

Response Two: I believe that I can improve my writing process in many ways. Being able to focus hard and take your time at a writing process will help achieve your essays to be perfect. Taking all my focus and time into the writing process can show everyone including my teacher how determine I am too improving my writing skills. Instead of wasting my time screwing around in class and don't pay attention to my teacher only makes my writing skills worst. Towards my goal, I would focus more upon my work then anything non-related to school work.

question no.1

The writing process I find most challenging is putting words on paper, and there are many reasons why. For one, it is hard to find the right words to use. When you are writing for instance, how often do you find yourself stuck in between words you write. I don't know about you, but it happens to me a lot. Usually when im stuck on remembering a word, it takes me a while to remember it.
I love just the whole writing process. I can change that by just learning it. And by just doing it every time i do it I get anxcious.
I find brainstorming to be the most challenging part of the writting process. It is troublesome for me because finding the right ideas to a question requires the most time and concentration. In addition, under the pressure of writting, for example, an essay, it increases the diffulculty of finding ideas that could cost me a grade.

To improve my skills in brainstorming, I need to be aware of more words that could be perfect in the use of an essay. The best way to to learn those words is to read a massive number of books.

QUESTION NUMBER ONE RESPONSE

Part One
I think the hardest part for me is rough drafting. It takes forever to do it and it takes a lot of thinking! You have to think of almost thirty sentences in a short amount of time.
After you Rough draft you still have to put it in a paragraph. making the main topics are hard because you have to think of them off the top of your head. even after the main topics you still have to think of three or four more sentences to back the topics up. You still have to think of the conclusion and a intoduction. It all takes a while and after that you still have to write the essay and go over it.
Part Two
Ways i can improve on rough drafting is practicing it. Like maybe making up my own topics and practicing the rough drafting and putting it in the paragraph. I can also practice brainstorming situations. I also should focus more on the work and not my friends and other things.

Question number one response

1. I think drafting is the most challenging part of a writing process because you have to think about things and write them down. I don't do good with thinking about things and writing half of it down then writing every thing by that time i will forget everything that i thought about.

2. To improve my skills I think I can practice on write things down and trying to remember things. It don't hurt to reread or do things over to make sure its right.

question 1

The part of writing process I find the most challenging is brainstorming. Because you don't know what to think about. Like what to think about. Because you have nothing going on in like your mind. And if the promt tell you what to think about. Because I get a lot of writers block. What I think i can do to improve myself is by puting more creative stuff in my mind or read alot more books to stop writers block from happening.

Ouestion # 1 respone

The most challenging thing in the writing process to me is putting words on my paper and publishing my work. The reason why it is challenging for me to put the words on the paper in because i get real nervous when i get the assignment in front of me. sometimes i can not forces because of all the distractions that around my for example when students are people in the class are talking around me it is hard for me to forces on putting the words on my paper. The second thing that is really challenging for me in is Publishing my work. It is hard for me the publish my work because i don't never think that it is good enough to be publish. In it is not good enough for my teacher are my classmate to read. I struggle with it because sometime it is very hard for me to publish thing that i think it is not going enough.
There are many way that i can improve in writing process. The first thing that i can do in focus more on my work and not on their people. If i focus more on my work and not on what other people are doing i will get more things done. Also i can study more then i am now. If i study i will know what i can do when the paper are assignment is in front of me. I think if i use theses skills i will be more successful in the writing process the i have to complete. These are the things that i can do to be more successful and also improve.
Thank You,
Dedee Diane Hogan.
